Job Summary
The Associate Attorney – Pre-Litigation Personal Injury is responsible for managing personal injury cases during the pre-litigation phase. This role focuses on early case evaluation, strategy development, client communication, and settlement negotiations. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have 1–4 years of experience in personal injury law, a strong understanding of liability, insurance coverage, and damages evaluation, and a track record of successful settlement negotiations with insurance adjusters.

Key Responsibilities
Case Evaluation & Strategy
Review newly assigned cases and develop early legal strategies
Evaluate liability, insurance coverage, and damages
Identify gaps in case information and guide next steps
Demand & Negotiation
Review and approve demand packages in collaboration with support staff
Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters
Develop and implement effective settlement strategies
Client Communication
Communicate with clients regarding case status, expectations, and settlements
Handle complex or sensitive client matters as needed
Ensure a high level of client satisfaction throughout the case lifecycle
Collaboration & Team Support
Work closely with paralegals and internal teams to manage case progress
Provide guidance and direction to support staff
Ensure accountability and workflow efficiency
Process & System Management
Maintain accurate case records in the case management system
Ensure proper documentation, updates, and status tracking
Follow established procedures and contribute to process improvements
Required Qualifications
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Licensure
Active license to practice law (Bar admission)
Experience
1–4 years of experience in personal injury law (pre-litigation preferred)
Strong understanding of liability, insurance coverage, and damages evaluation
