Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to oversee civil engineering projects from proposal development through project completion.
This role combines project management, engineering design oversight, client relationship management, budgeting, scheduling, and business development responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in civil engineering, proven project management experience, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management

Manage civil engineering projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from proposal preparation to project closeout

Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans

Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget

Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
Client Relations

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients

Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and project updates

Address client concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Engineering & Technical Oversight

Provide technical guidance and oversight for civil engineering design projects

Review engineering plans, calculations, specifications, and project documentation

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements
Team Leadership

Direct and supervise project staff and design teams

Delegate tasks and monitor team performance

Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical support to junior engineers and project staff
Business Development

Prepare project proposals and support contract negotiations

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients

Identify opportunities for new business and project growth
Operational Responsibilities

Monitor project budgets, invoicing, contract administration, and project backlog

Maintain project documentation and reporting requirements

Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards
