Job Summary

The Family Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, continuous medical care to patients across all age groups. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of medical conditions, as well as promoting overall health and wellness. The physician may also provide obstetric care (optional) and serves as a senior clinical expert responsible for high-quality patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate is Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine, has completed an accredited residency program, and is committed to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

Conduct patient consultations, including review of medical history, medications, and lifestyle factors

Perform physical examinations and order or interpret diagnostic tests

Diagnose illnesses and develop appropriate treatment plans

Provide preventive care, health maintenance, and follow-up services

Deliver emergency care and stabilize patients when required

Perform or assist with office-based medical procedures

Clinic Management

Manage outpatient clinics and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed

Educate and counsel patients and their families on health conditions and care plans

Refer patients to specialists or external healthcare facilities when necessary and ensure follow-up care

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems

Adhere to infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (nurses, social workers, case managers, etc.)

Supervise and mentor medical students and residents

Participate in organizational committees and clinical initiatives

Support workflow improvements and participate in healthcare projects or system updates

Required Qualifications

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)

Licensure & Certification

Active and unrestricted physician license (any U.S. state or equivalent)

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine

Experience

Completion of a 3-year accredited Family Medicine residency program

Skills & Competencies

Ability to manage a broad spectrum of medical conditions

Preferred Qualifications (Optional – Can Be Added)

Experience in obstetric care (if offering OB services)

Experience in rural or underserved community medicine

Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth)

Bilingual proficiency (Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages based on patient population)

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and perform clinical tasks for extended periods

Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity for patient care and documentation

Mental Demands

Ability to manage stressful situations and emotionally challenging patient interactions

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings if required

Capability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing clinical needs

Work Environment

Clinical setting with potential exposure to infectious diseases

Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as noise, chemicals, or temperature variations

Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with healthcare regulations
