Position Summary
We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination

Develop project schedules, budgets, and material quantity estimates

Review project plans, specifications, and technical documents for feasibility and compliance

Assist with subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and material/equipment purchasing

Coordinate project activities with engineering, field operations, and project management teams
Construction Oversight

Review shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for constructability and compliance
-
Coordinate labor crews, subcontractors, and site operations to maintain project efficiency

Monitor project progress and support timely completion of milestones
Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Monitor adherence to environmental and permitting requirements

Conduct routine safety inspections and audits

Enforce safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE on job sites
Documentation & Project Closeout

Maintain project records, drawings, revisions, inspection reports, and compliance documents

Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final quality inspections
Leadership & Communication

Assist in training and mentoring field staff and project team members

Facilitate meetings and prepare project reports

Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members
Required Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction project coordination, field operations, or engineering support (required)
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
-
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and
contracts
Additional Requirements:
Soft Skills:

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or
large-scale construction projects
- Familiarity with project closeout processes, punch lists, and
quality control procedures
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, or
Primavera P6
- OSHA 10-Hour or
OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Experience with estimating software such as Sage or
Buildertrend
- Previous training or
mentoring experience
Physical Requirements

Ability to work on active construction sites, including walking, standing, and climbing

Ability to
lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
