Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Litigation Attorney to join a growing family law practice.

This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with substantial courtroom experience who is passionate about handling complex family law matters, including divorcechild custodysupport disputesproperty division, and post-decree litigation.

The successful candidate will independently manage a caseload while collaborating with senior attorneys on high-stakes and sophisticated family law matters.

Key Responsibilities

Family Law Litigation

  • Manage a caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution

  • Represent clients in divorcechild custodyvisitationrelocationsupport, and

modification proceedings

  • Handle contested family law litigation, mediations, hearings, and trials

Divorce & Property Division

  • Advise clients on equitable distribution and division of marital assets

  • Handle high-asset divorce matters involving complex financial issues

Discovery & Case Management

  • Manage all phases of discovery, including document review, depositions, subpoenas, and expert witness coordination

  • Develop case strategies and litigation plans

Client Counseling

  • Provide legal guidance and support to clients during sensitive family law matters

  • Maintain proactive communication regarding case status, legal options, and litigation strategies

Court Appearances & Mediation

  • Represent clients in hearingstemporary hearingsmediationssettlement conferences, and

trials

  • Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written and oral arguments

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management

  • Participate in legal strategy discussions and professional development initiatives

Required Qualifications

Education:

Licensure:

  • Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction (required)

Experience:

  • 5+ years of Family Law litigation experience (preferred)

  • Candidates with 3–4 years of substantial courtroom and litigation experience may also be considered

  • Experience handling contested family law matters independently (required)

  • Experience involving business valuations and

complex financial matters

  • Experience with child custody and

relocation disputes

  • Trial and

mediation experience
