Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Startup Technician to join our team and support the startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of newly installed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional HVAC equipment and possess strong technical troubleshooting skills.
This role involves working closely with construction and service teams to ensure HVAC systems are installed, started, and operating efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC System Startup & Commissioning

Perform startup and commissioning of newly installed HVAC systems

Verify proper system operation, controls, and performance
Installation & Service Support

Assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment

Inspect equipment and identify required repairs or replacements
Preventive Maintenance & Repairs

Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment
-
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues
Safety & Compliance

Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations

Maintain accurate service records and startup documentation

Ensure compliance with environmental and EPA regulations
Required Qualifications
Education
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC service, startup, commissioning, or maintenance experience (required)
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, controls, and
system operations
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC wiring diagrams and
schematics

Experience troubleshooting HVAC electrical and mechanical systems

Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and
equipment diagnostics
