Job Summary
We are seeking a Process Engineer to support process optimization, operational excellence, and capital project execution within a manufacturing environment.
This role will focus on improving plant performance, enhancing safety, increasing production efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in process engineering, problem-solving abilities, and experience working closely with operations teams to achieve safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Operations Support
-
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, reliability, and productivity
-
Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues and recommending corrective actions
-
Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions for operational challenges
-
Monitor process performance and asset utilization, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
Capital Projects
- Scope, develop, and manage small to medium-sized
capital and expense projects

Coordinate project activities from concept through implementation

Prepare technical specifications and support equipment selection
Process Design & Engineering
- Develop
material and energy balances
-
Perform process calculations and equipment sizing for reactors, heat exchangers, dryers, distillation systems, and related process equipment

Utilize process modeling and simulation tools to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes
-
Support pressure relief system evaluations and process safety initiatives
Safety & Compliance
-
Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and serve as a process safety resource
-
Support Management of Change (MOC) activities
-
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Collaboration & Leadership
-
Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and management teams to achieve plant objectives

Provide technical guidance and support to plant personnel

Assist in leading continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects

3+ years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment
