Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Analysis
Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications
Analyze bid documents to determine project scope and requirements
Prepare accurate cost estimates, material takeoffs, and pricing proposals
Identify required materials, quantities, and associated costs
Evaluate discrepancies between drawings and specifications
Revise estimates based on drawing updates and project changes
Customer & Sales Support
Recommend appropriate products based on customer needs
Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, project management)
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication
Track and follow up on submitted quotes to gather feedback and improve accuracy
Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality guidelines
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3–5 years of experience in estimating or drafting
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
1–3 years of sales experience
Experience with estimation and design tools (e.g., Bluebeam, AutoCAD)
Familiarity with ERP systems
Experience with structural steel or similar materials
