Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Wall Panel Designer to join a growing construction manufacturing team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering wall panel systems, preparing technical drawings, reviewing project specifications, and supporting production teams throughout the manufacturing process.

This role requires strong knowledge of structural design principles, construction drawings, and wall panel design software, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, production, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Wall Panel Design & Engineering

• Design and engineer wall panel layouts using industry-standard design software

• Develop accurate and efficient wall panel systems based on project requirements

Technical Drawing & Documentation

• Produce detailed shop drawings and manufacturing documentation

• Prepare technical drawings for production and installation teams

Project Review & Coordination

• Review project plans, specifications, and design requirements for accuracy

• Coordinate with customers, project managers, engineers, and production teams regarding design modifications and project updates

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, engineering standards, and project specifications

• Perform quality checks on design documents before release to production

Production & Technical Support

• Provide technical support to manufacturing, field personnel, and project teams

• Assist in resolving design-related production and installation issues

Project Management

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously

• Monitor project schedules and ensure designs are completed within established deadlines

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Design, Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field (preferred)

Experience:

• Experience in wall panel design, structural design, or related construction design roles (required)

• Experience working with prefabricated building components (preferred)

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with MiTek Structure, AutoCAD, or similar design software (required)

• Strong understanding of structural design and

construction principles

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and

technical drawings

• Knowledge of building codes and

construction standards

Professional Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with wall panel manufacturing processes
