Work Mode: On-Site | Outpatient Rehabilitation / Hand Therapy Clinic
Schedule: 40 hours per week | Schedule based on departmental operational needs
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and Occupational Therapist to provide specialized evaluation and treatment for patients with upper extremity conditions.
The ideal candidate will deliver evidence-based, patient- and family-centered care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
-
Perform comprehensive evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcome measurement in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with hand and upper extremity injuries and conditions

Deliver age-appropriate,
patient- and family-centered occupational therapy services
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve functional goals
Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, departmental policies, and reimbursement guidelines
Collaboration & Leadership
-
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care

Supervise therapy aides, students, and volunteers while ensuring adherence to safety and professional standards

Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to therapy staff as appropriate
Education & Professional Development

Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency

Assist with onboarding and training of new staff and students

Share clinical knowledge through formal and informal educational opportunities

Participate in research, performance improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (required)

Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the applicable state (required)

Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential (required)
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy (required)
Preferred Qualifications

Board certification or advanced specialty certification

Experience in orthopedic, pediatric, or upper extremity rehabilitation settings
