Job Title: Civil Engineer (Land Development)

Full-time | On-Site

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to support a variety of land development projects. This role involves working across all phases of project delivery—from initial design and permitting through construction support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in site development, stormwater management, and regulatory permitting, and will thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare engineering designs for site grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management

Perform stormwater modeling and analysis using industry-standard tools

Design septic systems in compliance with state and local regulations

Assist with preparation and submission of environmental and land development permits

Coordinate with clients, municipal boards, and regulatory agencies

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, planners, and contractors

Prepare technical reports, calculations, and permit documentation

Support construction inspections and field surveying activities as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)

Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil site or land development engineering

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required

Knowledge of land development regulations and permitting processes

Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Experience with environmental and land use permitting

Familiarity with stormwater modeling tools (e.g., HydroCAD)

Experience with design software such as Carlson

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
