We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations at our skilled nursing facility (SNF) in Wisconsin.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee daily clinical operations and strategic direction of the nursing department
Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations (including CMS)
Maintain high standards of patient-centered care across all services
Supervise and support nursing leadership and clinical staff
Collaborate with administrative and interdisciplinary teams to improve care delivery
Lead quality improvement (QI) initiatives and implement evidence-based best practices
Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation within the department
Support staff development, training, and performance management
Promote a culture of compassion, accountability, and clinical excellence
Participate in on-call responsibilities as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (Wisconsin eligibility required)
Minimum 5+ years of experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
At least 2+ years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., charge nurse, unit manager, ADON, DON)
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance in nursing care (state/federal)
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage teams and drive organizational goals
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, or memory care settings
Strong background in staff development and clinical education
Experience leading quality improvement and culture change initiatives
High emotional intelligence and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
