Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and manage nursing operations within a long-term care setting.

This role is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with elderly residents while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct all nursing department operations

• Supervise and support nursing staff across all shifts

• Ensure delivery of high-quality care to residents

• Maintain compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and care programs

• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams

• Monitor clinical outcomes and implement improvements when necessary

• Oversee state reporting and corrective action plans

• Promote a positive work culture and team environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience

• Minimum 5 years of nurse management experience
