Job Title:  Estimator – Civil

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Estimator to support construction projects by preparing accurate and timely cost estimates. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in civil/sitework construction, and the ability to manage multiple estimates in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including earthwork, utilities, and concrete work

• Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents

• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop project schedules

• Estimate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs

• Assist with change orders, time & material (T&M) documentation, and billing processes

• Maintain and update supplier pricing and cost databases

• Analyze project risks and site conditions

• Visit job sites as needed for assessments and data collection

• Collaborate with project managers and field teams during pre-construction planning

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience Requirements

• Experience in construction estimating or civil/sitework projects preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in estimating and construction software (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid, Agtek)

• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
