Job Summary

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Litigation Attorney with 2–4 years of civil litigation experience to join its Family Law and Litigation team.

The ideal candidate should have strong courtroom and litigation experience, including handling cases independently, managing client relationships, and supervising support staff.

Senior-level lateral candidates with extensive experience may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management & Litigation

Handle family law and civil litigation matters from start to finish

Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediations

Manage case strategy, legal research, drafting, and negotiations

Client Relationships

Conduct client consultations and maintain strong client relationships

Team Leadership

Supervise and collaborate with attorneys and legal staff

Maintain high ethical and professional standards

Community Engagement

Participate in community and professional engagement activities

Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Active license to practice law in Virginia

2–4 years of experience in civil litigation

Family law litigation experience (preferred)

First-chair trial or courtroom experience (preferred)

Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Ability to work independently and within a team environment
