Job Summary
The Legal Assistant / Paralegal supports attorneys in handling personal injury cases across all stages, from pre-litigation through trial. This role involves drafting legal documents, managing case files, coordinating case activities, and ensuring smooth case progression. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to attorneys in personal injury cases from pre-litigation through trial
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and demand letters
Manage and organize case files and documentation
Coordinate case activities, deadlines, and schedules
Assist with trial preparation and litigation processes
Communicate with clients, courts, and external parties as needed
Monitor case progress and ensure timely completion of tasks
Maintain accurate records and case-related documentation
Qualifications
Required
4–5 years of experience in a personal injury law firm (plaintiff side preferred)
Experience in pre-litigation, litigation, and trial preparation
Strong legal drafting skills
Ability to manage complex caseloads with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
