Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA-C) to provide high-quality patient care in a gastroenterology-focused healthcare setting.
The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations

Establish medical diagnoses and develop treatment plans within the scope of practice

Order, perform, and interpret
diagnostic tests and procedures

Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols
-
Provide patient education, counseling, and preventive healthcare guidance
-
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Inpatient & Hospital Responsibilities
-
Conduct patient rounds and evaluate changes in patient conditions

Assess and manage patients in inpatient and emergency care settings as needed

Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals

Assist with discharge planning and preparation of discharge summaries

Manage patient caseloads and coordinate
continuity of care
Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
-
Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and clinical activities in compliance with regulatory standards

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable federal, state, and organizational policies
Collaboration & Quality Improvement

Work closely with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process enhancement projects

Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and best practices

Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to healthcare team members when appropriate
