Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to oversee fire alarm projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of fire alarm systems across commercial and residential environments. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to lead field technicians while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
Lead the installation of fire alarm systems from initial setup through final inspection
Program, configure, and commission fire alarm control panels
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently
Blueprint & Code Compliance
Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and technical specifications
Perform system testing in compliance with fire safety standards and local regulations
Coordinate inspections with relevant authorities
Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor junior technicians
Ensure proper device placement, system labeling, and material usage
Documentation & Communication
Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation
Track project progress and communicate updates or issues to management
Safety
Follow all workplace safety protocols and procedures
Required Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in fire alarm system installation
Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 72)
Hands-on experience with programming major fire alarm systems
Ability to work independently and manage projects without supervision
Experience leading or training team members
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Certifications
NICET Certification (Level II or higher preferred)
Manufacturer certifications (fire alarm systems)
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
