Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of mechanical and plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare-related projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing construction documents, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities, and supporting projects from design through construction administration.
This role requires strong expertise in HVAC and plumbing system design, BIM coordination, and collaboration with architectural and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Documentation
-
Design and develop mechanical and plumbing construction documents across all project phases
-
Perform HVAC system design including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems
-
Conduct load calculations and specify appropriate mechanical equipment and distribution systems
-
Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, and natural gas systems
BIM & Coordination
-
Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems within BIM/Revit project environments
-
Collaborate with architectural, electrical, structural, and civil teams to resolve design conflicts
Technical Documentation & Construction Support
-
Prepare technical specifications and documentation for construction projects
-
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction administration
Standards & Client Support
- Support development of engineering standards, specifications, and technical libraries
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required

Minimum
7+ years of mechanical engineering experience
-
Strong expertise in HVAC and plumbing systems design
-
Experience using Revit and AutoCAD for construction documentation

Knowledge of
applicable building and energy codes

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Strong
written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Experience in healthcare, institutional, or commercial projects

Familiarity with healthcare mechanical systems including:
- Medical gas coordination
- Infection control ventilation
- Pressurization systems

Experience working within AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) environments

Knowledge of building automation systems and
controls integration
