We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health support for children and adults. Key Responsibilities
Psychiatric Evaluations & Assessment
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management and treatment planning
Patient Monitoring & Care Coordination
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and safety practices
Professional Development & Team Collaboration
Participate in clinical supervision, professional development, and team meetings
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and medications
Support integrated behavioral and physical healthcare initiatives
Qualifications
Education
Master's degree in Psychiatric Nursing or related advanced nursing program
Licensure & Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner license or eligibility for state licensure
DEA certification with prescriptive authority (preferred)
Experience
Experience in psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Other Requirements
Valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications
Family Nurse Practitioner certification (preferred)
Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients
Experience with MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient Programs)
Knowledge of behavioral health, recovery-focused care, and integrated treatment approaches
