Key Responsibilities

As an Oral Surgeon, you will be the lead clinician for surgical cases, responsible for:

Clinical & Surgical Care:

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions, disorders, and injuries.

  • Perform surgical procedures—including extractions, implants, and corrective jaw surgery—in strict adherence to clinical standards.

Patient Communication:

  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, anesthesia, and post-operative care to reduce anxiety and ensure informed consent.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with referring dentists, orthodontists, and hygienists to ensure seamless, coordinated patient care.

Administrative & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate, detailed patient records, including surgical notes and treatment documentation.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active state dental license in good standing.

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is strongly preferred.

  • DEA certification (or ability to obtain) is required.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an oral surgery or multi-specialty practice is preferred.
