Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Level II Trauma Center)

We are seeking a highly skilled, board-certified Trauma Surgeon to provide exceptional surgical and non-surgical care for patients with traumatic injuries. You will play a pivotal role in emergency general surgery call rotations, trauma quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical and non-surgical care for patients with traumatic injuries.

• Participate in emergency general surgery call rotation and shared trauma call coverage.

• Perform life-saving procedures in high-acuity situations.

• Collaborate with specialists in critical care, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine.

• Participate in trauma quality improvement programs and registry activities.

• Contribute to resident and medical student education (if applicable).

Qualifications & Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

• Board Certification/Eligibility in General Surgery.

• Current Florida medical license (or ability to obtain).

• ATLS certification (Instructor certification preferred).

• Minimum 2 years post-fellowship experience in trauma or acute care surgery (Preferred).

• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center (Preferred).

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Proficiency in EMR systems and trauma registry management.

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
