Job Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) supports the delivery of physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves implementing treatment plans, assisting patients in improving mobility and function, and providing rehabilitative care in accordance with prescribed therapy programs. The position requires compassion, attention to detail, and strong patient care skills.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree from an accredited PTA program, a valid state license, and a genuine passion for helping patients regain their mobility and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
Treatment Implementation
Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist
Provide therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques to patients
Patient Monitoring & Support
Monitor patient progress and report updates to the supervising therapist
Help patients improve mobility, strength, and overall physical function
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress
Follow all healthcare regulations, standards, and safety protocols
Patient & Caregiver Education
Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and exercises
Ensure a safe and supportive environment during therapy sessions
Required Qualifications
Education
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Licensure & Certification
Valid license/certification to practice as a PTA (as per state requirements)
Knowledge & Skills
Basic knowledge of physical therapy practices and rehabilitation techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
Compassionate and patient-focused approach
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
Experience working with elderly or long-term care patients
