Project Architect - Healthcare

Note: Salary will be determined based on experience.

Requirement:

We are currently seeking a Project Architect in our Memphis, TN office with strong design experience in the healthcare market. The successful candidate shall have the following responsibilities:

Summary of Responsibilities

• Lead projects while promoting the firm’s mission, vision, and goals, with a primary focus on healthcare projects of varying size and complexity. Manage architecturally demanding projects from the initial concept stage through construction and final completion.

• Develop and implement project work plans to ensure the team meets quality, schedule, contractual, and budget requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring project scope, timelines, and budgets are delivered to the client’s satisfaction.

• Prepare proposals, define scopes of work, estimate fees, and assist in drafting contracts. Provide expert input during marketing efforts, design reviews, contractual discussions, and production meetings.

• Oversee project quality, scheduling, and budget performance for all design activities. Actively manage client communications, documentation, schedules, budgets, and team assignments throughout the project lifecycle.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, assist in selecting consultants, and coordinate with government agencies as needed. Monitor project progress and workload to ensure timely completion of deliverables while supporting the firm’s reputation through strong leadership and value-driven results.

• Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree from NCARB accredited school

• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn,

• Collaborative and professional work ethic

• Must have a thorough knowledge of the professional practice of architecture, with emphasis on client expectations

• Advanced knowledge of the project design process, construction documentation, and construction administration

• The ability to help define project scope, fees, and mitigate risk management

• Ability to direct or coordinate work efforts of technical staff.

• Demonstrated effectiveness in working in a multi-disciplinary team setting, collaborating, mentoring, and achieving client satisfaction.

• Strong knowledge of building codes and other engineering disciplines

• Thorough knowledge of the entire project delivery process and ability to lead construction administration efforts including leadership with the client, contractors, and internal project team
