Key Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you will support the operational success of our projects through the following duties:

Project Documentation & Control:

• Manage and track the lifecycle of RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.

• Maintain accurate project logs and update project management software daily.

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure compliance.

Coordination & Communication:

• Facilitate seamless communication between project managers, field superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams.

• Participate in project meetings (OACs, job walks) and draft comprehensive meeting minutes and progress reports.

Field Support & Quality Assurance:

• Support onsite construction activities and assist the field team with resolving technical issues.

• Monitor project schedules and assist with trade coordination to prevent bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction, project engineering, or a related field.
  • Internship or co-op experience in a construction environment is highly valued.

• Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid) is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Outlook).

• Attributes:  Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Setting:  This is an on-site role that requires a blend of office work and active job site visits.

• Travel:  Local travel to various project sites is required.

• Physical Demands:  Must have the ability to walk active construction sites, navigate uneven terrain, and climb ladders as needed.

• Licensing:  A valid driver’s license is preferred.
