Job Title: Project Manager / Project Architect

Job Overview

The Project Manager / Project Architect is responsible for managing architectural projects from initial concept through construction completion.

This role involves overseeing design development, coordinating project teams, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring projects meet quality, regulatory, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from concept through construction.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

  • Coordinate project teams, including internal staff and external consultants.

2. Design & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee design development and ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Review drawings and specifications for accuracy, consistency, and constructability.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.

  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service.

  • Manage client expectations related to scope, budget, and timeline.

4. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and mentor junior architects and project team members.

  • Delegate tasks and ensure effective collaboration within the team.

  • Coordinate with subconsultants and external stakeholders.

5. Construction Administration

  • Oversee construction observation and ensure design intent is maintained.

  • Address project issues and provide solutions during construction phases.

6. Documentation & Administration

  • Manage project documentation, communications, and reporting.

  • Review invoices, schedules, and project deliverables.

Qualifications

Education & Training

Licensure & Certifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design and project management.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in design and documentation tools such as Revit (required).

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and visual) abilities.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

  • Office-based role with collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

  • May involve site visits and coordination with construction teams.
