Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technician with MRI certification to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI and X-Ray examinations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, maintaining imaging equipment, and supporting physicians and radiologists in delivering exceptional patient care.

This is a PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Imaging

• Prepare, position, and instruct patients for MRI and X-Ray procedures

• Explain imaging procedures and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and safety

• Perform MRI and radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols

• Utilize patient-shielding techniques and follow radiation safety guidelines

Image Quality & Documentation

• Review diagnostic images for quality and accuracy

• Repeat imaging studies when necessary to meet quality standards

• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and examination histories

• Upload, transfer, and manage imaging studies using PACS and related imaging systems

Equipment & Compliance

• Operate, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot MRI and X-Ray equipment

• Maintain equipment performance and report technical issues promptly

• Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelines

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment

Administrative Support

• Conduct patient screening for MRI contraindications

• Verify imaging orders and assist with insurance pre-authorizations when required

• Coordinate scheduling and imaging-related workflows

Qualifications

Required

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (required)

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (RT) and MRI (MR) (required)

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)

• Knowledge of MRI and X-Ray imaging procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements

Preferred

• Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare or diagnostic imaging setting

• Experience performing both MRI and X-Ray procedures
