Job Title: RN Clinical Director (Hospice Care)
Job Summary
The RN Clinical Director is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, and management of hospice and palliative care services.
This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient utilization of resources while overseeing clinical staff and operations.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for hospice and palliative care programs

Supervise and evaluate nursing staff to ensure clinical competency and high standards of care

Monitor and improve quality of patient care through regular assessments and performance reviews

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements
-
Oversee accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with policies and standards
-
Develop, implement, and update clinical policies, procedures, and care protocols
-
Coordinate patient care services, including care plans, clinical reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings

Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and support cost-effective operations
-
Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of clinical staff
-
Serve as a compliance officer, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and standards

Participate in outreach and relationship-building activities with referral sources and community partners

Facilitate internal committees and contribute to organizational planning and performance improvement
Qualifications Required
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
-
Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
-
Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in hospice and/or home healthcare
-
Minimum 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
-
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
Preferred Qualifications
-
Master’s degree in nursing (MSN)
-
Experience working in Medicare-certified hospice or home care settings
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, weekday schedule with additional on-call responsibilities
