Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist / Clinical Fellow

Job Overview

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) / Clinical Fellow is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in a school-based setting. This role focuses on supporting students’ communication needs, improving functional outcomes, and collaborating with educators and families to enhance student success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assessment & Diagnosis

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

  • Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments.

2. Therapy & Intervention

  • Provide individualized therapy services to students based on identified needs.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with educational goals.

3. Documentation & Meetings

  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including evaluation and progress reports.

  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and case conferences.

4. Collaboration & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, special educators, psychologists, and other professionals.

  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and caregivers.

5. Professional Development

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Education & Training

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Valid or eligible state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.

  • Ability to work with children across various age groups.

  • Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
