Job Title: Theme Interior Designer

Job Overview

The Theme Interior Designer is responsible for creating and delivering highly creative, concept-driven interior design solutions from ideation through execution.

This role focuses on developing immersive themed environments, producing detailed design documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring design concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities

1. Concept Design & Development

  • Develop innovative and themed interior design concepts from initial ideation through execution.

  • Translate creative ideas into functional and visually compelling spaces.

2. 3D Visualization & Presentation

  • Create high-quality 3D renderings and visual presentations to communicate design concepts.

3. Design Execution & Documentation

  • Produce detailed construction documents and technical drawings.

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in design specifications and plans.

4. Materials, FF&E & Custom Design

  • Select and specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).

  • Design custom furniture, finishes, and products aligned with project themes.

5. Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams throughout all design phases.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure seamless project delivery.

6. Art Direction & Curation

  • Contribute to art direction and curation aligned with design concepts.

Qualifications

Education

Experience

  • 8–12 years of experience in interior design, preferably in themed, hospitality, commercial, or entertainment projects.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Revit (required).

  • Working knowledge of Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Rhino is a plus.

  • Strong 3D rendering and visualization skills.

  • Experience with space planning, FF&E specification, and material selection.

Core Competencies

  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities.

  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Preferences

  • Experience in large-scale or design-build projects.

  • Knowledge of sustainability standards (e.g., LEED, WELL).

  • Progress toward professional certifications (e.g., NCIDQ or architectural licensure) is a plus.
