Job Title: Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – PRN Nights | Acute Care & Ventilator Support
Job Type: PRN (As Needed) | On-Site | Night Shift
Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory and cardiopulmonary care to patients of all ages.
The therapist will evaluate, treat, monitor, and educate patients with pulmonary and cardiac conditions while working collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Respiratory Care
-
Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed, including aerosol treatments, oxygen therapy, pulse oximetry, arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, and other respiratory procedures

Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and document findings in a timely manner

Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate recommendations to physicians as needed

Initiate, maintain, and monitor ventilator support, CPAP, and
BiPAP therapy
- Assist in establishing and maintaining airways during respiratory or cardiac emergencies
Equipment Management

Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment

Ensure proper functioning of ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, pulse oximeters, blood gas analyzers, and related equipment
Patient Education & Documentation
-
Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, patient responses, and procedures performed
Cardiology Services
- Perform EKGs, stress testing, and Holter monitoring procedures
Team Collaboration
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care

Respond promptly to patient and team needs

- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
Knowledge:
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an
acute care setting

Experience working with acute care, emergency services, hospice, outpatient services, and cardiopulmonary patients

Experience with ventilator management, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and
arterial blood gas analysis
Certifications Required

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

State Respiratory Therapist License

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification
