This role is responsible for supervising clinical staff, implementing training programs, ensuring quality improvement, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The position also involves supporting strategic planning and serving as a clinical leader during operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, supervise, and coordinate clinical staff and direct reports
Provide coaching, performance evaluation, and professional development
Act as clinical lead in the absence of senior leadership
Ensure staff adherence to policies, procedures, and standards
Training & Education
Develop and deliver initial and ongoing EMS training programs
Serve as an instructor for EMS education courses
Implement continuing education and skill development programs
Support development of high-performance clinical guidelines
Clinical Operations & Quality
Conduct case reviews and investigate clinical complaints or incidents
Implement quality improvement initiatives
Monitor clinical outcomes and ensure compliance with standards
Serve as field paramedic when required
Strategic & Administrative Duties
Assist in departmental planning and strategic initiatives
Support budget development and resource management
Maintain communication with leadership regarding operations, compliance, and performance metrics
Represent organization in clinical meetings and external engagements
Compliance & Communication
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Communicate updates and policy changes to staff
Ensure effective communication across teams
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in a related field (or equivalent EMS experience/certification)
Current certification as a Paramedic (and eligibility for state licensure)
Minimum 3 years of recent EMS experience
At least 2 years of EMS education experience (FTO level or equivalent)
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in high-pressure emergency environments
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, leadership, or a related field
5+ years of EMS experience
Experience in EMS education management or clinical leadership
Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, PHTLS, AMLS, NAEMSE)
