Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation & Performance to oversee the operations and clinical performance of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation department.
This leadership role is responsible for managing Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Athletic Trainers, and support staff while ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team development.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for fostering a high-performing, collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management

Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to rehabilitation staff

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and clinical excellence

Conduct team meetings to communicate departmental goals, operational updates, and performance expectations

Manage staff scheduling, time-off requests, productivity, and workforce planning
Clinical Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the
rehabilitation department

Manage patient scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization

Ensure adherence to evidence-based treatment protocols and clinical best practices

Monitor departmental productivity, patient outcomes, and patient satisfaction metrics
Staff Development & Performance Management

Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention efforts for rehabilitation staff

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development

Support continuing education and professional development opportunities
Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies

Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical performance indicators

Conduct audits and reviews to ensure accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Partner with physicians, healthcare providers, and care teams to coordinate patient care

Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and case review meetings

Serve as a liaison between the rehabilitation department and referral sources, insurers, community organizations, and healthcare partners
Administrative Responsibilities

Analyze departmental performance metrics and operational reports

Assist with strategic planning, program development, and
process improvement initiatives
- Support budget management and resource utilization efforts
