This role is responsible for overseeing paralegal and docketing teams, ensuring high-quality legal support, efficient workload distribution, and alignment across practice areas. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategic Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of paralegals, assistants, and docketing professionals
Drive performance management, including evaluations and feedback processes
Develop and implement training and professional development programs
Establish and maintain career progression frameworks and competency models
Oversee departmental budgeting for training, certifications, and technology
Work Allocation & Resource Management
Manage workload distribution and staffing across teams
Develop systems for tracking utilization, assignments, and productivity
Collaborate with stakeholders to anticipate staffing needs and resolve workflow challenges
Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement
Partner with internal teams to analyze productivity and optimize resource allocation
Operations, Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and present reports on utilization, productivity, and performance
Ensure compliance with internal policies, client requirements, and confidentiality standards
Support succession planning and knowledge transfer within teams
Maintain accurate records and reporting systems
Process Improvement & Innovation
Identify and implement improvements in workflow, systems, and operational processes
Leverage technology and automation tools to enhance efficiency

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Paralegal certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
6+ years of paralegal experience
Minimum 3 years in a leadership or management role

Proficiency in legal technology and workflow systems
