The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace safety programs across construction sites. This role ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, promotes a strong safety culture, and works proactively to identify and mitigate risks in the field.

Key Responsibilities
Safety Program Management
Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs for employees
Maintain and update safety manuals and site-specific safety plans
Promote a "Safety First" culture across all levels of the organization
Compliance & Regulations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (e.g., OSHA)
Manage safety documentation, including logs, reports, and compliance records
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, insurance providers, and legal teams
Site Inspections & Risk Management
Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits
Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions
Ensure adherence to safety standards related to excavation, trenching, confined spaces, and heavy equipment
Incident Management
Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes
Develop and enforce procedures for incident reporting
Implement corrective and preventive measures
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns
Provide guidance and training to employees on safe work practices
Ensure immediate correction of unsafe conditions on job sites
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
Experience
Minimum 6+ years of experience in construction safety or a related field
Strong experience in managing safety programs on construction sites
