The Commercial Lending Associate Attorney is responsible for handling legal matters related to commercial lending transactions. This includes drafting and reviewing legal documents, providing legal advice, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience representing banks, financial institutions, or secured lenders and a deep understanding of loan documentation, regulatory compliance, and secured transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Document Drafting & Review

Draft, review, and revise legal documents related to commercial lending transactions

Ensure all documentation complies with legal and regulatory requirements

Legal Counsel & Advisory

Provide legal opinions and strategic counsel on lending matters

Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis of complex transactions

Negotiation

Negotiate loan terms and respond to comments from opposing parties

Protect client interests while maintaining professional relationships

Client & Stakeholder Communication

Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams regarding case progress

Provide timely updates and strategic guidance

Case Management

Manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines

Maintain high standards of accuracy in documentation and communication

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 3+ years of experience in commercial lending or related legal practice

Experience working with banks, financial institutions, or secured lenders

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word

Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in real estate financing and/or secured transactions (e.g., UCC)

Familiarity with legal document management systems (e.g., iManage or similar tools)
