Job Title:  Junior Project Cost Estimator – Construction

Location:  Los Angeles, California, United States

Salary Range:  130,000–130,000–140,000 per year

Employment Type:  Full-Time

Work Mode:  On-site / Office-based with potential field visits

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Cost Estimator to join our team.

This role is ideal for an early-career construction professional who is eager to apply their estimating skills and contribute to project development and cost management.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in construction estimating, a solid understanding of local labor and material costs, and the ability to prepare and analyze detailed cost estimates. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Analysis

  • Prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work

  • Develop independent cost estimates for comparison with contractor proposals

  • Assist in preparing and evaluating

change order estimates

Claim & Proposal Review

  • Perform claim analysis and prepare supporting estimates

  • Review contractor proposals and claims for accuracy and accountability

Market Research & Scope Development

  • Research current market trends, including labor and material cost fluctuations

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of full-time professional experience in

construction estimating

  • Knowledge of current local construction labor and material costs (Los Angeles market)

  • Experience estimating change orders and

scope development

  • Ability to compare estimates with contractor proposals and identify variances

  • Strong

analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent

written and verbal communication skills
