Position Summary
The Lead Physical Therapist & Practice Manager will serve as:
✓ Primary Treating Clinician
Providing high-quality orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy care.
✓ Clinical Leader of the Practice
Ensuring excellence in patient care, clinical protocols, and staff collaboration.
✓ Operational Manager
Overseeing daily operations, workflows, financial performance, and staff coordination.
✓ Strategic Partner
Participating in long-term planning with a clear, structured equity/ownership pathway.
This role blends direct patient care, hands‑on leadership, and business development in a uniquely rewarding setting.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
Evaluate and treat orthopedic and sports medicine patients
Develop, progress, and implement individualized treatment plans
Deliver manual therapy and other evidence-based interventions
Supervise and collaborate closely with the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory and payer requirements
Maintain and uphold best‑practice clinical standards
Practice Management
Oversee and manage daily clinic operations and workflow
Coordinate effectively with administrative and front‑office staff
Monitor productivity, scheduling efficiency, and key performance metrics
Support business functions including billing, authorization, and compliance workflows
Participate in community outreach, branding, and business development initiatives
Assist with strategic planning, service expansion, and growth opportunities
Ownership & Growth
Engage in a structured pathway toward equity and future ownership
Participate in long-term strategic direction of the practice
Contribute to sustainable growth, quality improvement, and patient retention
Support new program development aligned with clinic goals

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Active Michigan Physical Therapist License OR eligibility via PT Compact
