Key Responsibilities:
Lead electrical estimating activities for commercial construction projects
Prepare accurate cost estimates, bids, and quantity take-offs
Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and project costs to develop competitive proposals
Collaborate with leadership on bid strategy, risk assessment, and project planning
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and trade partners
Support preconstruction planning and seamless project handoff to operations teams
Identify and pursue new project opportunities in partnership with business development
Mentor and support junior estimating team members as the team grows
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically within commercial construction
Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and labor pricing
Proven leadership experience – or demonstrated readiness to step into a leadership role
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and one-line diagrams
Proficiency with estimating software and tools (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, Bluebeam, ConEst)
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects (e.g., healthcare, data centers, retail, distribution)
Formal leadership or management training
Strong understanding of preconstruction processes and design-assist estimating
Interest in long-term career growth into executive-level roles (e.g., Estimating Director, VP of Preconstruction)
