The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves analyzing project drawings and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, evaluating subcontractor bids, and supporting preconstruction activities. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with project teams to ensure successful project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Cost Analysis
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using digital tools
Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for new construction and renovation projects
Analyze labor, materials, and equipment costs to develop accurate project budgets
Bid Management & Evaluation
Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals
Compare bids and ensure alignment with project scope and requirements
Support preparation of competitive bids and tender submissions
Project Documentation & Review
Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Ensure estimates comply with regulatory standards and project guidelines
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors
Assist in preconstruction planning, budgeting, and presentations
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain historical cost data for future reference and benchmarking
Prepare reports, cost summaries, and documentation for project evaluation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
8–10+ years of experience in construction estimating
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost structures
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in estimating software and digital tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, HCSS, ProEst, or similar)
