Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Design
Lead geotechnical engineering and deep foundation design for infrastructure and construction projects
Perform detailed subsurface investigations and interpret soil and rock data for design applications
Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, construction drawings, and technical specifications
Design and analyze systems such as pile foundations, drilled shafts, micropiles, helical piles, and earth retention systems
Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards through proper review and quality control
Project Collaboration & Execution
Work closely with project management, estimating, and construction teams to support project planning and execution
Assist in bid preparation, value engineering, and constructability assessments
Act as a key technical resource to resolve geotechnical challenges during project execution
Mentorship & Leadership
Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff
Contribute to the development of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices
Participate in strategic planning and support the growth of engineering capabilities within the organization
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure
10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly in foundation and subsurface systems
Proven experience leading engineering design from concept through construction support
Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with deep foundation systems such as driven piles, drilled shafts, micropiles, helical piles, and load testing
Proficiency in geotechnical design software (e.g., LPile, GeoStudio, Plaxis)
Experience in construction-focused or contractor-based environments
